| Well, vacation is over. I will write more about the eventful week, including pictures, in a few days! -- where does the time go? I (and maybe we all) had a great time. The weather was wonderful -- only one day of slight cloudiness with cool temp's, but even then the sky was mostly clear by the ocean. Having my nephew Cory, who is three and a half years old, with us was great. It was his first time at the ocean and he took a while to get over his initial fear. I told him he had to get his "sea-legs" and after that he was fine! The water rushing back into the ocean after a wave hit kind of freaked him out -- looking down at the rushing water is a bit disorienting. Laurie (my sister-in-law & Cory's mother) was able to be there, but my brother Todd wasn't.
I was depressed driving home with my sister and brother-in-law. I don't really know why, but I was. It lasted through Memorial day, but going back to work yesterday and getting back into a routine has helped. I think knowing I have two more months here, selling my house and car, etc., leaving my friends and what is familiar, being away from my family and not seeing Cory grow up for three years, turning 40 in a few months, and just having my whole life turned up side down is kind of getting to me. Too much stuff happening too fast, but..... Okay. More later. Oh, I am about to begin the version .75 redesign of my site soon. I have some ideas. I am shooting for the complete version 1.0 to be up and running when classes begin the end of August in NYC. |
